The EcoMedia Europe Socrates Comenius 3 Network in cooperation with the University of Pitesti are going to organise a national workshop in Romania. The workshop will be carried out in Pitesti from November 23rd - 24th, 2007.

The Zoho Office Suite is a web office suite including word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, database, note-taker, wiki, CRM and other applications. Being web-native all Zoho applications share these common traits:

• No client software required, only a browser and Internet connection
• Run on any operating system and all the major browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera..etc)
• Facilitate collaboration between a set of named users, a group, or the general public

The applications can be used standalone, collaborating on documents originated in MS Office, OpenOffice and other systems (supporting read/write of those file formats) but offer additional integration benefits when used with the rest of the Zoho Suite. The data (document) files can be saved on Zoho's Servers as well as several integration partners, e.g box.net, or Omnidrive which allows synchronization back to the local PC.

Currently Zoho applications are free to use, some, e.g CRM and Projects have Pro levels for a fee. Zoho's stated intention to always maintain an entry-level of their apps free of charge. A single sign-on is required to access all the Zoho products.
